The Home Legal DNA test is a legal DNA test intended for use in court or legal proceedings. When you purchase a home legal DNA test, you are responsible for arranging the sample collection appointment and ensuring that a strict chain-of-custody collection procedure is followed.
As a mandatory requirement of the legal test, the sample collection must be performed and witnessed by an unbiased third party who has no interest in the outcome of the test (i.e. not a friend or family member). Examples of individuals who are commonly selected as Home Legal specimen collectors include doctors, lawyers, registered nurses and notaries.
